Lately, HTC has been coming out with many Android powered smartphones. One of them is the HTC Wildfire – A low budget Android powered handset. Lets have a look at the technical specifications of the phone.
Size:
The phone measures 106.8 mm in height, 60.4 mm in width and has a thickness of 12 mm and weighs 118 grams. It is very lightweight and is not bulky like some of the smartphone available in the market which makes it easy to carry in your pocket.
Display:
HTC Wildfire features a large display of 3.2 inches which has a resolution of 240 X 320 pixels. The display is touchscreen and includes features like pinch to zoom. The phone uses HTC’s Sense user interface which looks brilliant on the large display. An accelerometer sensor allows users to automatically rotate the user interface just by tilting the phone and a promiximity sensor automatically turns off the display when the phone is held close to the body.
Phonebook and Memory:
The device has an 512 MB ROM which can be further expanded to up to 32 GB using an external microSD card. Users can store practically unlimited entries and fields in the phonebook and unlimited call records. Photocall feature is also available.
Data transfer:
HTC Wildfire supports Class 10 GPRS with speeds of 32 – 48 kbps, Class 10 EDGE with speeds of 236.8 kbps, HSDPA with speeds of 7.2 MBPS. Users can also connect to wireless networks as the phone supports Wi-FI 802.11 b/g. For transferring data to and from other devices, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and microUSB v2.0 is offered.
Applications:
The handset comes pre-installed with applications like web browser, media player, Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Search, Twitter and much more. In addition, applications from the very popular Android App Store can be directly downloaded onto the phone.
